Oprah aired her interview with“I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time,” Gaga said, sitting in her parent’s house in Manhattan. “This is my moment for me to experience a rebirth with my music…you have to cancel out the noise and remember that it’s your thoughts that matter.”
Gaga was specifically referring to the press and doing interviews, but it’s still surprising coming from a performer who owes a lot of her success (or at least, sustained interest) to the ever hungry press. She’s always been quite open, about everything from her pre-Gaga past to her romantic relationships, and courted attention wherever she goes with outlandish outfits and dramatic entrances. But she also told Oprah that she’s ready to settle down, get married, and have kids, all of which will be easier to do dressed in jeans and t-shirts instead of eggs and latex.
